Freezing Fresh Vegetables

If you're some of those that loves to plant your personal garden, if you don't scatter your planting times, it appears all the vegetables ripen at the same time and you end up wishing you could have a fresh crop throughout the year. Well you can, or almost. I do not mean that time intensive chore of canning; I am talking about freezing. You are able to freeze just about anything. Just obtain a supply of zip lock freezer bags and obtain to work. Here are just a few of the vegetables you are able to preserve through the freezing method, and it is easy.

ASPARAGUSWash well and stop tough ends. Pack in freezer bags. Asparagus usually grows well along fencing line in support of a few will come up at any given time. That's why freezing is really great since you can just throw them within the freezer bag because they come up. Training until you have enough for any meal.

Since the pureed pumpkin is sort of thinner compared to canned pumpkin, make sure to use less liquid when creating your pies. Frozen pureed pumpkin tastes a lot better than the canned.

TOMATOESWash tomatoes and eliminate small core. Cut in quarters. You don't need to peel. When tomatoes are thawed out, the peelings just slide off easily. Place in freezer bags, but only enough in each bag that you're planning to use in a one recipe. Store in freezer until available. Use in any cooked dish.

ZUCCHINIZucchini appears to ripen all at one time and one zucchini plant can produce a number of zucchinis. Here's what that you can do. Peel the zucchini and grate it and set in freezer bags. Store in freezer until available. Use it for making zucchini bread. Only store enough in a single bag that you simply intend to use for the recipe.
